About FreshPure Waters
FreshPure Waters (National Water Services, LLC) is a TowerBrook Capital Partners-backed company that owns and operates filtered water refill machines inside grocery stores across the United States, including Whole Foods Market, Sprouts Farmers Market and regional grocers. We run more than 900 locations under the FreshPure and Arctic Mountain brands, and we build, install and service our own machines.
We are growing fast and building our team in Salt Lake City.
The Opportunity
You will work alongside our CFO, Controller and accounting team on real work: the monthly close, the year-end audit, the cash forecast and the reporting that goes to our board. We are moving to a new ERP system, so you will see how a finance team gets built. We are hiring interns to grow our local team, and strong performers will be considered for full-time roles as we grow.
What You Will Work On
Month-End Close and Audit
- Build and maintain reconciliation workbooks and roll-forwards for balance sheet accounts.
- Pull and organize support for our annual financial statement audit.
- Help clear open items, such as unmatched receipts and unapplied customer payments.
Reporting and Analysis
- Update weekly and monthly reports, including inputs to the 13-week cash forecast and our KPI dashboards.
- Pull location, install and billing data, and help find locations that are installed but not yet billing.
- Help build Power BI reports as we move onto Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Projects
- Support data cleanup and testing for our Business Central go-live.
- Own a project of your own with a clear deliverable, and present it to the CFO at the end of the semester.
What We Are Looking For
Required
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, information systems or a related field. Juniors, seniors and graduate students preferred.
- Solid Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables.
- Available 15 to 20 hours a week during the semester, on-site in Salt Lake City.
- Attention to detail. You notice when something doesn’t tie.
Preferred
- Accounting coursework through intermediate accounting.
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, SQL or Python.
- Interest in FP&A, audit or corporate finance as a career.
- Experience with QuickBooks or another accounting system.
