What is a Career Community?

Career Communities are a way to organize and cluster occupations and industries. They are designed to help you explore, engage with and discover careers that align with your interests and goals.

Majors do not always point to specific careers, rather they prepare you with a broad range of skills and competencies that are transferable across fields and industries.

This collaborative ecosystem will connect you with:

  • Handpicked jobs and internships
  • Upcoming career events
  • Industry advice and trends
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Additional resources pertaining to your career interests

You can sign up to receive newsletters and regular updates to stay informed about as many communities as you would like. Click on the “customize your career content here“ button on the right side of the page and select the communities that you would like included in your CDO Newsletter. You can update your preferences at any time.

The following Career Communities represent industries and functions that align with FCB curriculum, student organizations, established career interests and outcomes, professional networks, and labor market trends:

Additionally, we offer Affinity/Identity Communities that are designed to focus and inform diverse populations of students about their specialized career development resources, news and blogs, recruiting events, and job search tools:

Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to join as many Career Communities as they would like!
