- Explain what a resume is and its purpose
- Explain basic formatting guidelines for resume writing including what section headings are valid
- How to tailor a resume to the opportunity and audience
- How to figure out your professional skills
- How to write strong accomplishment statements using your transferable skills and results

- How to identify top strengths (skills/experience/expertise) that fit the requirements for a particular position

• Understand the concept of behavioral interviewing
• Implement the STAR method for answering behavioral-based questions
• List at least 2 pre-interview preparation steps
• Discuss the difference between interviewing in-person vs virtually
• Identify interview practice platforms that can provide feedback
• Understand how and why it is important to conduct company research prior to an interview

- Understand how to conduct in-depth company research; what to look for and what questions to ask
- Answer a variety of questions utilizing the STAR interview format
- Develop relevant questions to ask the interviewer at the end of the interview
- Write a follow-up message to thank interviewers after an interview
- Learn what is considered appropriate dress for the interview
