We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. Job Description: As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records for our clients. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensuring timely reporting, and assisting with tax preparation and filing. This is an early career-level position, ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in accounting and finance while working in a collaborative, supportive environment.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in accounting software (QuickBooks, etc.), knowledge of financial statements, strong attention to detail, and an interest in expanding their knowledge of tax preparation and compliance
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks, including entering and categorizing financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements.
- Prepare and process accounts payable and receivable.
- Generate and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with applicable laws.
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems in accordance with company policies and tax regulations.
Qualifications:
- Recent college graduate with a desire to learn and grow in accounting.
- Experience preparing financial reports and analyzing financial data.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills combined with a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other office software.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of basic tax laws and tax preparation is a plus.
- 1-3 years relevant experience preferred.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.
